Well, I am up 1.0 lb this week. I’m actually pretty ok with that, considering I totally pigged on Thanksgiving and it’s also TOM week. Maybe it’s all water weight anyway! We’ll see what next week looks like–determined to be on track this week!
We have literally 6 or 7 holiday parties at our university between now and holiday break (Dec. 20), so that’s going to be a challenge. I can’t believe that there are so many parties–almost every department throws some kind of shindig. The first one is next Monday! Ack! I actually signed up for a weigh-in challenge at work called, “Maintain, Don’t Gain!” and basically if I don’t gain weight between now and Jan 3, I get entered in a raffle to win some kind of door prize. I’m pretty confident that I can handle this challenge as I’ve been consistenly losing weight, so as long as I lose some weight in the next couple of weeks, I should be ok even if I get off track during holiday break.
I’ve been hovering around the 49/50/51 lbs lost mark since the end of October, and I know that part of this is because of the holidays. I honestly am not too stressed out about this–I figure that the holidays will always be the toughest time of year for me, and as long as I don’t get through it coming out 5 lbs or more heavier than I was when it started that all will be ok. I’ll probably start really losing again in January, and I’m fine with that. I don’t have a rushed feeling and I think that’s helping me a lot–I just want to be close to goal by summer of 2015, which I definitely think is possible.
