Weigh-in Wednesday 6.24.15

Sooooo, I just realized that I didn’t post last week–so sorry! I’m not sure what I was up to, but I guess I was just busy and forgot. My bad! At any rate, last week’s weigh-in was the same as the week before, so I didn’t gain or lose. I was kind of sad because I had gone to a bikram (hot) yoga class and it was hell so I was expecting to lose, but it was also TOM week so there was that. So, I didn’t know what to think when I got on the scale this week. Wow. Just wow.

OK, that says –65.2. If you’ll remember from my last weigh-in, I was at “–61.0”. OK, THAT IS A LOSS OF 4.2 POUNDS, PEOPLE. I haven’t lost that much weight in I don’t know how long. I think it was a combo of some different things:

1. Hot yoga class on Saturday, June 13–holy CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP IT WAS AWFUL AND I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN but every experience has value and so I am glad that I did it. I mean I guess you can say that I “did” hot yoga by lying on the ground for 70% of the class..lol, yikes. Never again. I think I probably sweated a pitcher of water–no joke.
2. Last week was TOM week, so I was probably holding some water weight.
3. I think that I have been over-estimating the amount of activity points that I am earning for certain activities. When I was heavier, it took more effort for me to do a 60 minute dance fitness class then it does now, so I just can’t count the same amount of points that I’d been counting 65 pounds ago. So, I conservatively estimated my activity last week, and ate within those bounds. So, I think I earned something like 20 activity points (vs. what I would’ve counted as 33 the week before) and ate those plus only 13 of my weeklies. Guess it paid off!
4. My willpower has returned. I think it’s the fact that I finally got back to my normal hatha yoga class last Wednesday night and it felt SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Can’t wait to go tonight.

At any rate, that puts me down to 170.8. ONE FRIGGIN’ SEVENTY, PEOPLE. I am so close to the 160s, I can’t even believe it!!!!!

In addition, I must mention that I am not angry at my bff Rachel for taking me to hot yoga. We had a BLAST on our hangout together, and I love her so much!!!! Here we are lookin’ all cute:

I am SO sorry I didn’t post last Wednesday! We had an all-day, off-campus office retreat and I wasn’t near my computer at all that day. So, I completely forgot to play catch up on Thursday! At any rate, last week I GAINED 1.8 lbs. Womp womp. I had known it was going to be bad because of all the booze I’d had and because of lack of exercise, PLUS my stomach bug the week before contributed to my 2.8 loss. Oh well. Here are this week’s results:

That says –61.0, I promise. Lol sorry, I know it’s blurry! At any rate, that’s another gain of 0.6 lbs this week. Once again, not surprised; I ate Marv’s (my college town’s greasy famous food place) TWICE this weekend, as it was my 5 year college reunion. BUT, at least I can say that that will only ever happen every 5 years! I also had more booze than normal…I think that is what my downfall has been recently. The food willpower is better than it has been, but ever since the weekend at the cabin, I’ve not been able to reign in the alcohol consumption. It needs to stop! In addition, it’s spring/summer…so there are all sorts of special evening things that don’t happen during the school year, like picnics and barbeques and work banquets–the list goes on. That means two things: one, I eat terribly because the willpower isn’t as great as it once was, and two, less time to exercise. Ugh. So I need to get my shit together and get back on track. Honestly, I’m at 175, and I feel REALLY good about that, but I’d like to be down in the 160s by the time Disney rolls around in December. That’s totally doable, I just need to get it together! (And yes, true confession time–I was doing so well yesterday and planned on working out after our church service last night, and then we went to Dairy Queen and I got a mini Jurassic Smash blizzard. Oof–at least it was mini, lol!)

I’m not going to be down on myself, though. There’s no reason for me to waste precious energy by agonizing over choices I’ve already made. Plus, I had a couple of NSV’s this week. Last summer, I bought a pair of green (faded-type green, not bright green) shorts from Goodwill in a juniors size “19.” I had NO idea what a juniors size 19 was, but I bought them because I held them up and they kind of looked like they might fit. When I got home to try them on, there was NOOOOO way they were even getting up past my thighs, basically. Well, the other night I pulled them out of the back of my closet–lo and behold, THEY FIT PERFECTLY! So that was pretty exciting. Also, everyone at my 5 year reunion was like OMG YOU LOOK SO GOOD. So that was pretty awesome. Here are some pics!

Aight, hoping for better results next week, BUT I’m getting together with my college bestie in Indy and we are going to tapas! I EFFING LOVE TAPAS! But it’s the only night of the week I plan on having alcohol, so maybe that will help??? Ugh. I’m ready for a normal week! (/ I need to just suck it up and abstain from booze!!!!!!)
